Lifetime Achievement Award
Harry Murray MBE, Managing Director of Lucknam Park Hotel, Wiltshire was awarded the highest accolade of Lifetime Achievement Award for his long and distinguished service to the hotel industry on Tuesday 8th July 2008 at the Hotel Catey Awards held at Grosvenor House. Only nine Lifetime Achievement Awards have been awarded in the last 25 years.
Harry Murray, MBE is a deserved winner of this year's Lifetime Achievement Award. With more than 40 years in the hotel industry, Harry has marked his career with outstanding service and training; he is a past chairman of the Master Innholders and was the Hotelier of the Year in 1986. His effect on the industry has been immense.
More than 1,000 of hospitality's most important decision makers were witness to the spectacular occasion, which saw the Roux Brothers scoop The Silver Catey. This year celebrates the 25th Anniversary of The Caterer and Hotelkeeper Awards which have been well established to recognise and applaud the best of British hospitality. The great and the good, from across the hospitality sectors, turned out for this special occasion and glittering event.
